Rice phanna(sheeth phanna)
-Can use leftover cooked rice
2 cups cooked rice
... 1/4 tsp haldi powder
1 big onion(sliced)
1/4 cup green peas(fresh)
OR peanuts
Pinch of hing powder
3-4 green chillies(sliced)
Few curry leaves
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp udad dal
1/2 cup fresh coriander(finely chop)
1/4 cup grated coconut(opt)
1/2 tsp lemon juice(opt)
Salt
2tbsp oil
1. Add salt to cooked rice, mix well n keep aside
2.Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, udad dal n hing.
3. After mustard crackles, add green chillies n curry leaves. Saute till curry leaves r crispy.
4. Add onion n haldi . Stir till they r cooked.
5. Add green peas n saute till done.
6. Add rice(remember U already
mixed d salt)...... Also add fresh coriander n mix well.
Cover n cook in a low flame for 3-4 minutes..
7. Garnish with grated coconut n lime juice.( opt)
Serve hot.
Note: U can also add 1/4 tsp jeera n red dry chillies as variation.
