Aloo- Cabbage


(goes well with roti) 
1/2 cabbage( med size)(cut big cubes)
2-3 med size potatoes ( peeled n cut to cubes)
3 red dry chillies whole( each cut to 2)
...
1/2 tsp jeera/cumin seeds( for tempering)
1 bay leaf
Oil
Salt to taste
1 pinch sugar
3-4 green chillies
1/4 tsp haldi
3/4 tsp jeera seeds
1/2 tsp ghee

Paste:-Grind green chillies, haldi, jeera seeds to fine paste adding required water...
Method
1. Heat oil, add jeera seeds, red chillies, bay leaf , a pinch of sugar n a pinch of salt.
2.when sugar starts changing colour, add the potatoes, mix well, sprinkle 1/4 cup water, cover n cook
On med flame
3.when potatoes r cooked , put the cabbage, salt to taste n the paste(above)... Mix well
4. Cover n cook for few seconds... Do not over cook cabbage...
5.heat 1/2 tsp ghee n pour over the curry(this is optional)
Serve hot wid rotis
